INTERVIEW
How did you prepare for the Internship?
I have solved hundreds of easy to medium problems on Leetcode.
How long did it take you to prepare?
It took around 6 months for me.
Tell us about the application and recruiting process.
I applied to Microsoft Internship off-campus at Microsoft careers.
Why do you think you were selected?
I was very passionate about doing an internship at Microsoft. I worked hard in building up my programming basics. I joined Being Zero two months before my Internship Interviews and my mentors Sandeep Sir and Ashutosh Sir have guided me a lot. I have also solved many programming questions with the guidance of my sister. All these factors helped me achieve my goal.
Describe your experience in this program.
The internship started in May 2020 and lasted for 2 months. I Worked on Microsoft Teams integration with the Power BI report. The technologies used are Bot Framework SDK and C#.
The internship was virtual due to the covid pandemic. The situation was very challenging but my manager and my mentor tried their best to make me comfortable with the project and all the virtual setup required. This was my first internship and hence I had to work hard in the initial days, but later on, I enjoyed the work and that moment when the code runs, I was on cloud 9! All my teammates encouraged me and had given me a lot of suggestions. Overall, I would say that was a wonderful experience.
During the last week of the internship, I had to demo the entire project to my managers.
Spoorthi also managed to grab the pre placement offer from Microsoft after going through two interviews. She will be joining Microsoft as a full time employee soon.
